A few comments to note mate re, your Oz blog. Feel free to use or ignore:

Day 4
Re. your comments on 'Some shops apply the speaker and microphone approach'
. . . This has in fact, now been banned in Australia. Which is good, cos its
a load of tat and complete bollocks!!!

Day 5
Re. your comments on 'a cyclone which has been threatening the north
queensland coast is expected to dissipate' - Yeah, tell me about it! We flew
through aforementioned Cyclone whilst trying to land on Hamilton Island. On
the 3rd attempt, he made it . . . . .JUST . . . . and I mean JUST! Full on
wing-dipping, arse tightening type landing in ZERO visability. So yes, Mr M
Fish was correct about the Cyclone, but as for dissipating . . . . MY
ARSE!!!

Looking forward to catching up mate!

Cheers Stevo see ya err... today

Ants,

Been busy over the last few days and have not updated myself what you would be having for breakfast on day seven.

Glad to see it was enjoyable.

Yes you have missed the snow.

I attach a couple off charming pictures of the view from our dining room window.

As usual with snow came to chaos off trying to get about.

When I took this picture I had to go and collect Bec from work 5 miles away which turned into a three and a half hour round trip.

Enjoy the heat (it is Australia you know)

Jon

Cheers Jon. Rest assured,,,, today I will be mostly having muffin and coffee. Nice shots of the snow. Oh and its gonna be ANOTHER 30'c today.

14:30hrs

Lee and I are well on our way to Melbourne now. We fell foul of the UK Airport Syndrome...as we left our hotel way to early... and ended up all checked in for our domestic flight a mere 20minutes after leaving the hotel.... still... this did mean I got a window seat.
We've past the Fleurei Peninsular, over the MUrray river and I suspect we are near the boarder with Victoria. Its a 60minute flight to Mel so I'd thought I'd update you all on our trip. Looking out the window I'm reminded that South Australia is a very barren and dusty land... I'm use to flying over Europe where you see a patch quilt of greens and yellows. Here the land is covered in a variety of rusty browns and reds, with occasional dark green/black patches of forest. The land is scared by deep red or bright white roads angled at precise 45' or 90' turns as if marked by set square or petractor. Deep red belts of redrust coloured soil plague the landscape as if the country has a deep rash. Single solitary clouds migrate along the landscape below. What a barren land.
We will soon be arriving in Melbourne... I bet your glad!

22:30
Melbourne Victoria, 'the place to be'.

We got the skybus into town where steve met us, drove back to his place and cooled down with a beer. Then when jen got home we went for a drink down the pub then had a walk down the beach and onto an italien. Aftewr a nice meal it was time to go home for some tea's and a long chat about our trip and life in australia.
