Weight watchers:
We are keeping a close eye on Bliss's weight. Its important to make sure she is growing and not becoming too much of a little piggy. We are monitoring, weight, height, length and collar size:

Elaine and her girls :
Bliss and Lili are etting on very well. Even tho Lili is not that keen on other dogs, she acts as nanny to both Bliss and Bonnie (a minature snauzer) when out on walks. Heres a couple of pics of Lili, Elaine (Lili's owner) and our gorgeous Bliss:
Bliss and her Boomer Ball:
Bliss has a Boomer Ball: a hard shelled plastic ball... like a lightweight bowling ball. These are serious fun for staffy's who like balls.... I think Bliss is more of a rope and stick girl tho.... heres a couple of vids of her being introduced to the Boomer ball... and then one of her just running amock in the garden.. she just loves that chipping pit in the garden...

Bliss is getting more and more confident when on walks... she seems to be getting used to roads and traffic... and is even bold enough to make it down the side alleyway without freezing with terror.

Bliss's first trip away:
Bliss went on her first trip out with us this weekend. She spent time with Paula and Ron, who gave her lots of fuss and then went on a couple of walks with Lili, who is becoming somewhat of a mentor for her. Bliss has been better on walks... as we hope to have eliminated her fear of cars going by... but she was very unsure when two horses rode by.... not sure what she made of them. Bliss has been better at night... crying only once after being in bed for a couple of hours... as for toilet training... Bliss was doing very well... but we have now had two accidents in the past two days.... so we still have a long way to go.

Bliss as a Pup :

Bliss has been registered at the Vets where she was looked over and weighed. She is perfectly formed and seems to be adjusting well to her new home. She patiently sat whilst being weighed (10.5kgs) and I'm sure she thought it was wrong as she kept wanting to go back into the weigh room... maybe she thought the scales had got it wrong???

When Bliss met Lili:
Bliss met Lili today... our friends 7yr old Staffie. They got on pretty well:
Above: Lili meets lil Bliss.. Bliss was a little frightened at first but she soon came round.
Bliss was unsettled a little bit during her frist night... she was a bit lonely to say the least. We took her out for her first walk round the local park.. where we found she was very obedient, stopping at the curbs... and whenever a car went by on the road... she is still a bit timid when going out.. but this is still all very new to her.

Bliss left us a couple of 'surprises' under the tree... but these accidents were soon cleaned up and we have had no repeats. Her training is going very well... she is doing all her business in the garden.. which she just loves to race around.
For most of Christmas day she was left for upto 3-4 hours at a time. Lee and I came back regularly to check up on her and let her into the Garden. In the evening we went for a walk... but I ended up carrying her the last 40m as some fireworks started going off and she was very very scared... but we got through it.
Her second night has been better. She needed the loo at 4am.. and then went back to bed... then she was bored and wanted to play at 6am. And now (7.30am) she is in her pen fast asleep.
